About me
My Name is Joerg Giger and I live in Jona, Switzerland, a small town with a population of about 26000 people. Jona is about 35km east of Zurich directly at the lake Zurich. Together with my girfriend Christine we life in our own, small house. Normally if I don’t sit in front of my sim and fly or build, I work as a software application analyst in a big sanitary manufacturer company next to my house Geberit AG.
The flight simulator is a big hobby, but there are still other things I like to do. Also a lot of time I spend in the fire departement of the City of Rapperswil Jona. I act there as an officer and one of the tasks there is to educate alle my other fire fighter colleagues in that business. Fire Departement Rapperswil-Jona.
I am building as well a model railroad at home, another hobby where I can invest a lot of time. Depending on the current problems I can switch over from the sim to the railroad or back…
Another hobby we have both is to go on holiday! So if somehow possible we try to have one nice trip a year. So our most favorite destinations are the United Sates of America, mostly the western part or into the other direction in the world to the Maldives. A beautiful paradise to relax or just to see wonderful nature under water.
